Our women-only bakery walking tours invite you to slow down, savor the moment, and indulge in the city’s sweetest treasures, one bite at a time. This is the perfect brunch-time activity for a bachelorette party, for a girl's day out, or to simply connect with other women over pastries and coffee!
The West End neighborhood is home to elegant 19th-century homes, tree-lined streets, and a quieter, more intimate feel compared to the bustling waterfront. Here you’ll discover some of the city’s coziest cafés and award winning bakeries, where you’ll sample irresistible pastries and warm, comforting coffee.
Whether you're visiting for the first time or rediscovering your own backyard, a bakery crawl is the perfect chance to soak in the city’s vibrant culture and the community spirit that makes Portland so special. You’ll be led by McKenzie - a passionate, knowledgeable local who has created wedding cakes and dessert tables for couples across the state of Maine. Come hungry, bring your sense of adventure, and get ready for a deliciously fun experience that’s as warm and inviting as a fresh-from-the-oven cookie. Portland’s best bites are waiting for you!
Tour Details
We recommend reserving your spot as early as possible, especially during peak-season summer months. Plans change? No problem — you can adjust your booking by contacting us with at least 48 hours’ notice. We also suggest scheduling your tour at the start of your visit so you’re able to return to your favorite stops and your guide’s recommendations throughout your stay in Portland.
- All food sampled during the tour. We will make between 3-5 stops.

Tips for your local guide are not included. If you enjoyed your tour and feel compelled to tip, between $10-20 per person is common.
You’ll be accompanied by your guide and up to 7 other women typically between the ages of 25-60 who enjoy a walking adventure!
Our tour will run rain, snow, or shine! Wear walking shoes and multiple layers (we will be walking along the waterfront). Be prepared for whatever the forecast has in store - it’s all part of the adventure!
We will be meeting in front of Smalls coffee shop at 28 Brackett Street in Portland, Maine at 10am.
We will end the tour at 742 Congress Street, about a 13 minute walk back to the start point. Feel free to walk back with your guide.
Gluten, eggs, and dairy are regularly served on these trips. No alternatives are provided. If you have a nut/tree nut allergy, please let us know and we can typically accommodate this if alerted in advance.
